Im not even sure where to begin on this. First of all the atmosphere in Ann Arbor was incredible all day. I will give them that. It was also a very weird atmosphere. From the second we got there Michigan fans were being unusually nice too us. Offering us beers, wishing us good luck, hell even Ann Arbor cops were yelling “Go Green” at us through their megaphones. It was some really bizarre shit. I felt like I was getting tricked or something. Anyways on to the game.
I wish that I had more insight on what happened between kickoff and the 4th quarter but I have ZERO recollection. The whole afternoon was just one drunken black hole. I eventually came to my senses right at the end of the 4th quarter, just in time to see Connor Cook scramble on 4th down and heave up a desperation throw to MacGarret Kings that was broken up. I couldn’t believe it. We were actually going to lose to Michigan. We just didn’t have the mojo. Congrats to Michigan, they were just the better tea…
OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!?!? HOW DID WE PULL THAT OFF?!?!? I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY HANDS!!!!!!
I have never gone from the deepest, darkest pits of depression to pure elation so fast. Went from sulking to hugging random grown men on the street like they were my newborn child. I re-watched this play probably 100 times the next day just to make sure this wasn’t just my brain playing some sort of sick joke on me the night before. Spartan Nation literally rose from the dead, ripped out the Wolverine’s hearts, put them in their back pockets, and buried their lifeless corpses. That is the only analogy that is close to representing what we just witnessed. I almost feel bad for Michigan fans, ALMOST! I have no idea what MSU did to deserve this kind of miracle from the football gods but hey, I’ll take it.
P.S. Sneaky best part of that video is the old Spartan fan at the 32 sec mark. Everyone else’s face is melting in disbelief and this guy is just trying to head for the exits. Just another day at the office.
